Had a wonderful time at Wild Ginger Inn! Great people, nice job tasks and always a super lunch after work.

Fantastic people, super friendly and easy to talk to. I cut my foot during my stay at the Wild Ginger Inn, and everybody was really helpful driving me to the hospital and helping.

Thank you for a good time!

If you’re looking for a relaxed environment and to explore Hilo, Wild Ginger is your place! The housekeeping work is straightforward and side tasks are shared between all work-traders. You’re allowed to listen to music while you work which makes the work day fly by. At the end of your shift you get a delicious meal, Al is a GREAT cook. Meals ranged from soups, burgers, curries, shrimp pasta, and the list goes on! Never the same meal twice. They even accommodated my dietary restrictions. I had a blast getting to know the staff and going out to events together. I will cherish these memories!

Amazing people and a beautiful Hostel that overlooks the Ocean. The work is straight forward and I would highly recommend The Wild Ginger Inn to all work traders. Perfect opportunity to get out and explore this beautiful island.

The Wild Ginger Inn was a great first work trade experience for me! It is a family ran business which made it feel homey and welcoming. The other workers here were super friendly and enjoy getting to know you, plus the lunch they provide is top notch. It is located downtown Hilo so it is near a handful of cafes and shops. It is in walking distance to multiple beaches which are gorgeous. This was an amazing opportunity and I'm glad to have been part of their ohana.
