I'm sure that Valstad Farm has the best of intentions, but it is illegal to volunteer in Norway without a work VISA. I have volunteered in the past and never had any issue, but Norway is the most STRICT of the Schengen Zone Countries. I was deported. So, if you are not an EU resident and do not have a work permit, make sure that you know what you are getting before you enter Norway. I don't want anyone else to be misinformed and to make my mistake.

About the host

Great nature, lots of different animals, near the mountains, fresh air, clear and clean water. The work is varied and the accomodation in the old house is cozy.
