The Exchange

This is a great opportunity to learn about the hospitality business and meet people from all over the world. If you enjoy people and making them happy, this could be the position for you. Your primary responsibility will be to clean the house and make up the bedrooms. Secondary responsibility will be with checking in guests.


What you offer

24 hours of help per week

Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

Cooking: Choose the menu, pick ingredients and cook delicious dishes.

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.


What you get

1 day off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Program Details

Wanderfalls is a small home hostel. In addition, we have 2 other houses in the same neighborhood that we rent out as whole house vacation rentals.

Work Information
The working time is approximately 3-4 hours a day, with one day off per week. Your primary responsibility will be to clean and make up the bedrooms, clean the kitchen, hallway, bathrooms, and outside areas. Secondary responsibility will be with checking in guests. Check-in includes collecting the money for the stay, showing the guest(s) maps and informing them about what to do in the area, and showing them around the hostel. Finally, depending upon the workload, we may ask for help with gardening and special projects.

What we Provide
We will provide a bed for each helper in a private “apartment” above the hostel. We also provide a food stipend of $75 per week.

Rules

We will provide a bed for each helper (1-2) in a private “apartment” above the hostel. The apartment has its own living area and bathroom, but not a kitchen. You will be able to use the hostel’s kitchen. We prepare breakfast for our guests each morning and you are welcome to eat that if you wish. All other meals you will need to purchase and prepare yourself. We will provide you with a weekly stipend of $75 for purchasing groceries.
