Volunteers will be required to help as needed with reception, check-in/check out, general concierge, light cleaning and housekeeping, tours, and setting up for breakfast. Of course, we may need you to help with other jobs so we need people to be willing and helpful. Being social and talking to guests from around the world will be a crucial aspect of this position. My name is Miri and I have recently opened a Hostel in the Gorica neighborhood of Berat. Previously, our building operated as a hotel, but we think our space is perfect for socialising, lounging and relaxing, so we hope it will work really well as a hostel :) Our Hostel is a family run business. My father helps out with gardening and general maintenance, and my mother provides home baked breads and bureks as well as free range eggs for breakfast. I have worked in other hostels and with volunteers for years which I have previously managed, so I really appreciate what volunteers can provide and am looking forward to meeting new people.
Our hostel is located in the heart of the Gorica neighborhood of Berat, Albania. Known as the "Town of a Thousand Windows" and as the "Museum City," Berat is a designated UNESCO World Heritage site, as well as the ninth-largest city in Albania. Loca
Volunteers will be given a bed in our newly renovated dorm, as well as free breakfast, wifi, laundry, use of bicycles (when available), spots on some of our tours of attractions around the region (when not fully booked), as well as half-priced drinks at our bar.
