I spent about six weeks at the hostel and had a truly amazing time there. The hostel is located in a beautiful area of Lisbon, yet it isn't full of tourists what I really enjoyed. The tasks are easy to do, shifts are flexible and you can find lots of time for yourself. Still the best about this experience were the people: We went out together with the other volunteers and spent a lot of our free time together. I really made a lot of friends with them! The managers Gonzalo, Flávio and Jonathan were really welcoming and helpful, the guests were friendly and kind too. I can just recommend it

It was amazing!! The people and the staff were wonderful and the tasks were so easy! If you want a low effort job with a great community of people I highly recommend. This was my first volunteer experience as a 19 year old solo female traveler and I think this experience will be hard to top 🥰 not to mention the city is absolutely stunning and there is always something to do/ see. Just keep your stuff locked up and be weary of the bugs and you will have a 10/10 experience. The friendships I made here will last a life time! 10/10 recommend applying

I'm so grateful to have had the chance to work as a volunteer at the hostel. It is ideally located, and I could walk to various beautiful tourist spots and local places every day. The tasks were pretty light, allowing me to indulge in my free time and swap shifts with colleagues. I even enjoyed the night shift because I appreciated the quiet time. While the rooms and kitchen area may not have been super hygienic, the experiences I had at the hostel is priceless. The people, both staff and volunteers I met there, were amazing. I'm sure I'll miss them all.

I stayed two months at the hostel (which is not a hostel anymore but a place for refugees by the way) and I really liked it. The volunteers and asylum seekers I met there truly impacted my Lisbon experience. I am very grateful for those human connections. However, the place is quite unsanitary: lost of cockroaches, holes in the cealing, no heating.... yet, somehow, it felt like home. Thank you.

I had a really wonderful experience at the hostel. It felt like a family and I learned a lot from the staff, volunteers and people staying at the hostel. The work tasks are as described and it's flexible if you need to swap around for other commitments. Staff and security are good at resolving issues when they arise. There are mostly men at the hostel. The team dorm is nice and we've got a bathroom to use. I didn't love to use the kitchen but it is well equipped. I'll be back again for sure!
