Live at HighRoad Hostel for free in exchange for work Front Desk overnight/morning shifts, leading our events for guests, and helping our Housekeeping Staff with making beds. Our guest events include: Pasta Diners, Pub Crawls, Drum Circles, Picnics, and walks, and more! You'll be leading these events! The front desk shifts might be morning or evening depending on availability but you will know your schedule in advance.
22 hours of help per week
Party Promoter: Help to promote parties and social activities.
Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.
Housekeeping: Exchange and wash bed linens. Make the beds.
Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and attend to guests.
3 days off per week
Team Dorm: You're part of a team! Get to know them in your dormitory.
Breakfast: Get your free breakfast, the most important meal of the day.
Cook your own meal: Feel free to prepare your own meal here

Our hostel is the highest-rated in Washington DC and we have many happy guests from all over the world who are fun to interact with. We host weekly free events, which our team organizes and manages, and we have a good time at work and also have team dinners from time to time. Free breakfast is included every day.
Of course, you will receive training from our managers on how to do all your duties, plus follow up and constant contact with all of us so that you never feel confused about what to do or how to do anything.
