The Experience

We are looking for friendly sociable people who are willing to help us and make a difference in our lodge - of course, while enjoying the amazing city of Cape Town! The usual volunteer's job is to help us organize our reception tasks (bookings, check ins, payments) and working at the stock and bar. But we are always open to suggestions and will be glad if you have any other skills that can help us improve our management and hospitality.

Brazil

After a bit longer than a month there, Big Blue turned into my home in Cape Town! The team is really great, and I felt really welcome. I worked 5 hours a day at the bar (usually at night), but the environment is so nice and chilled that it barely felt like working. Plus, I had the whole day to explore the beautiful city of Cape Town. I would surely come back and recommend volunteering in Big Blue!!!

Marina, has been one of the best volunteers Big Blue probably has had. Her sense of drive and energy and always getting things done with no questions was a breath of fresh air. Her attention to detail, focus and always looking to add value is a key part of her personality. Whichever field this amazing young lady ventures into will definately be a success. Obrigado
