The Exchange

If you like to fix things and work with your hands, there are sometimes opportunities for handyman, maintenance and general laborer. You volunteer approximately 32 hours/ week with 2 days off. For your labor, you get a free bed, and some free community meals when they are available. Otherwise, when the community meals are not in operation, you have to cook your own food.


What you offer

32 hours of help per week

Painting & Decorating: Help to maintain the appearance inside and outside the building.

Handyman: Help with a wide range of repairs.


What you get

2 days off per week

Shared Dorm: Be ready to meet people while staying in a shared dorm.

Breakfast: Get your free breakfast, the most important meal of the day.

Lunch: Free lunch is served y'all, get yours!

Dinner: Have your free dinner before going to bed.

Cook your own meal: Feel free to prepare your own meal here

Beginner English or Beginner German

Over 18 years old


What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa


Program Details

When the kitchen is running which is approximately September 22- December 1st and then March 19th- about May 28th then you will receive 3 meals a day free of charge. When the kitchen is not running, you will have to buy and cook your own meals.
