Marrakech is on fire! We don't have a hostel, we have a palace.

The hostel was definitely a little paradise in the Medina. The cooking, cleaning and reception staff were incredible and made me feel at home. Nadia one of the managers was super kind and made sure I always got what I needed. Be prepared for it to be super hot if you come during the summer months, but beyond that you'll have a great experience.

During the stay you work mostlymorning or night shifts. Where you either server breakfast in the mornings or in the evening work at the restaurant and bar. The work isn't too demanding and the schedule leaves you plenty of time to explore the hostel or just relax. The hostel itself is beautiful with some great places to hang out too!

It was 1 month in Marrakesh with a lot of learning, delicious food and amazing people I met. I worked selling and serving breakfasts in the morning, and 2x/week I worked as a bartender at evening. Even though I have no experience with drinks, Xavier was very patient with me and taught me everything to the hostel that today I already feel like a real bartender hahaha! The staffs will be forever in my heart, especially Khalil, Hassan, Salma, Menika (my moroccan mom❤️), Xavier and Nadia, I'm forever grateful for everything you have done for me and I hope to see you guys again soon 🤍

Getting to know the hostel, a culture so different from ours, was the best thing. The hostel's location is right in the middle of the old medina (very central) and you'll quickly get used to the path and the narrow streets. the daily work time limit is respected but the tasks do not always comply with what is described in the app. several days I did cleaning The member staff (housekeepers and reception) is very kind and.welcoming I can't say the same about the host Xavier, I didn't feel welcome by him and I didn't even feel that my work was valued. Sometimes he is very rude.

Hi Millena,

Thank you for your review.
Just remember you, that in our task description, housekeeping it's the first on the list.
Also, we request to our voluntaries to help us in no hard tasks, or those requiring responsibilities, or a professional profile.

Cheers!

The hostel is right in the middle of it all in the Medina! You'll definitely get familiar with the streets real quick. Work here is split between three shifts. AM BUFFET HELP AFTERNOON KITCHEN HELP PM BARTEND AND DINNER HELP Every staff member was super nice, even if there was a language barrier you feel as though you're at home. The worldpackers room is smaller than I wouldve expected and can be quite stuffy because of where its located. Tasks are super easy, definitely experience all you can while in the heart of it all!

Paradise! ❤️ The staff is the best people you can ever meet. ❤️ The hostel is like a palace. Very beautiful, very clean, in the center and the task is quite easy. You will have a lot of time for yourself. And you will have the chance to meet great people that will give you hope about the planet 🌏 Great hearts exist. And they live in one hostel in Morocco.

Just as you can see in the advertise, that's not a hostel, it's a palace! Lots of common areas, a pool, great vibes and beyond amazing food! I wanna say thank you to Xavi, the staff and the other volunteers for this wonderful time in the hostel!
