Help with cabin rental business needed. (Very remote, Lots of rec in all directions!)

The Exchange

We are a family of three going in to our third year of our cabin rental business and the workload is a little much for us at times. Our 45 acre property is tucked up against the west side of North Park, bordering the Routt National Forest. In order for us to focus on our other projects instead of just keeping the wheels greased so-to-speak, we are looking for up to two people to stay with us to help with the cabin upkeep and supply.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Tent: You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Program Details

We are a new(ish) business that is growing pretty fast, and we're realizing that only having three of us for an eventual total of 5 cabins to upkeep is just not quite enough hands on deck. We're looking for people to join our team who are happy with isolation (nearest town of Walden is 17 miles away) and also looking to explore some pristine wilderness. We have an attached room to our main house for housing volunteers complete with its own wood burning stove to keep you warm (wood is supplied of course)

Activities & Shift

The cabin upkeep is pretty straightforward given they aren't very big. 25 hours a week is also just a ballpark figure, sometimes we have all cabins full for multiple days (typically weekends) leaving you with even more time to explore all the outdoor recreation opportunities surrounding us.
