I am not happy about my experience there. It's not as expected at all... I even changed my flight to go back home earlier, and other volunteers did it too. We didnt have running water in our room, we had to ask for basic needs such as paper rolls constantly and buy our drinking water..no WiFi in our room... and there were some money issues... but most frustrating thing was actually the fact that there was no program at all. Schools werte closed by the time I was there.. visits to the orphanage were not arranged, no planting trees, as also said...

The experience was amazing.
Samuel (the host) is a really good hearted person who is always worried about the well being of the volunteers.
This is the best way to know whats is the real life in an East African country and a good way to understand every aspects of their culture.

Spending time with World Meets Kenya was truly life changing! Everyone I met there was so warm, friendly, and truly kind. The hosts become like family to you. They make sure all your needs are met and that you are having a wonderful time! I recommend everyone stay with World Meets Kenya and experience the love from the kids and the people you will meet. Bring a flag from your home country to be displayed and learn from the stories of the hosts and the children in the community. I will definitely be going back to Kenya and continuing to work with World Meets Kenya!

I don't have much to say, the children from the orphanage and teaching classes was the only good thing about this volunteering. the host is not at all clear about the donations he asks of you, the program is not organized, and his role in volunteering is not professional at all. I had many problems when asking about the donations made, donated money for a supposed course and it turned out with bills for pots for his kitchen. really, the only rewarding thing was the love received by the children.

This experience is one of a kind. The perfect one for a real volunteer. You can be busy the entire week by assisting in schools and Orphanages. You get special opportunities to enter the culture, teaching refugees, orphans and students. The host is a super friendly person and helps you with everything you need. World Meets Kenya team make sure that you have everything you need to perform proudly. They were super kind, and didn’t fail in anything. You will have moments to remember forever.
