It was a very nice experience! You have a lot of free time (I was there in low season, Nov/Dec), but also there's no fixed schedule so you have to be available 24h. The room has everything you need and you have access to the kitchen (I was not allowed to use the washing machine tho). Stefania was very helpful and has a lot of patience. The tasks are easy but you are always alone in reception. I'm grateful for my stay in Casa Rovai, is the perfect place to discover Florence. Contact me if you have any questions!

Casa Rovai was my first voluteer experience and it was awesome! Communication is great: before coming Stefania have made it very clear what my tasks where going to be ( because of Covid and low workflow) and also she was always available during my stay. I can't talk about the specific tasks because we have only few guests during my stay but I can tell you that at Casa Rovai you have everything you need (private ensuite room and you can use the kitchen!). The location is amazing just in the centre of the Firenze. I'd love to come back and I definitely recommend it!

My time at Casa Rovai was absolutely amazing.
The location of the guest house is great! just in the centre of the mesmerising Florence. The tasks are easy and very organised.
I've learned a lot about reception and I had the possibility to practice my Italian. I had private cozy room with bathroom.
The people at Casa Rovai are just my second family , they are nice and friendly and flexible.
Thank you so much Stefania for everything! I will never forget this amazing experience. I'll surely come back to Casa Rovai as a volunteer and as a guest, so much love.

Casa Rovai was a great experience! It was a special situation because of COVID so the workflow was a bit low so I had to be available for reservation. The house is a typical old Italian house, very beautiful with lots of art and you have everything you need, You can use the kitchen, etc. You get a private ensuite room. The location is superb, just far enough that you’re not trapped around tourists and prices are a little bit lower. The staff is kind, always in communication. The tasks are simple. I got to travel and go around a lot in my free time. Definitely would come back and recommend!

My stay at Casa Rovai was excellent. The people who work there are very flexible and friendly. The tasks are very easy, clear and well organized (recepcion and breakfast) and I had a lot of free time for know everything beautiful that Florence has to offer. I had a very comfortable and well equipped room with private bathroom. Thanks Stefania and Sarina for everything!

Our experience in casa Rovai was good, staff is very easy-going, you have everything you need to prepare your own food, private room, etc. Raception Tasks are really easy to do and it is a good opportunity to learn Italian language of you are interested.
Some days you'lll have a lot of free time to explore the city and some other days you'll have to stay in home all day but also with free time inside of your room just waiting for late check-ins (that's good if you are digital nomand).

Well my experience in Casa Rovai wasn’t what I expected. I had confirmed and double-checked my trip, we arranged to meet the day before i should start working and everything.
When i arrived she told me she was going to Japan for a month, that i was going to stay in charge of the hostel but that she was scared of leaving me alone. So she said that she preferred someone close to the owner’s family to manage the hostel and that it was better for me not to work there. I write this because i think the situation was badly handled. She could have told me before i arrived to the place.

Nacho, I'm surprised by your review. You had said that you'd arrive one day before in the city, but not that you'd sleep here in the Guest House. Because we were with another volunteer who would leave only the next day. Unfortunately, we have no place to receive two volunteers at the same time.
I had already explained to you before you come that you should work alone because I would be out on vacation. But unfortunately when you got here I explained everything about the job and realized that you didn't feel confidence to do it. So I thought it wouldn't be a good idea you stay here and I tried to help you offering another opportunity to volunteer in a hostel in Genoa, which suit your profile. But you didn't want to and just left. I'm so sorry for what happened, but I tried to do the best for you. I hope you can found good places to stay to learn more about reception job.

The Guest House is very well located in the central Florence, also is very beautiful, clean and cozy. Having a private room is very comfortable and the work is easy to be done everyday. Stefania is super friendly and generous, always ready to help what I need. Thank you for everything, Stefania! I'll be back soon for sure!
