i arrived to marrakech expecting to be welcomed in the place i had my work reservation but then no one showed up, so i was in the middle of a muslim unknowed country without any contact or answer of them, then i went to the riad personally and nobody took any responsability about anything.
WP should check the hostels from time to time and only keep the one's that are in contact directly with the boss or owner. this also happened to an american girl called judy
stop it thats no true i come to the place where you are staying to bring you to my place but you have other plan so i take my responsability and i try to fix everything but you lie to me you just go and also who are you to talk about judy so be honest please i dont like this so if anyone want to enjoy morocco please the world can you contact me than you will be fine
Amiris was advertised at the Purple Camel Hostel on Worldpackers. I had a confirmed job for the month of Febraury into March. About a month prior the host stopped responding to my messages. I emailed and called, but no reply. I arrived in Marrakech and booked an airbnb close by just in case it fell through. When I got to the hostel, it was under new management and nobody knew who I was. I spent the next month scrambling for volunteer work. This is either a scam or not well attended to, so don't apply here.
Marrakech is a beautiful city and Hocain was a very friendly and accommodating host. I definitely felt like family while I was there! Although I ended up moving to another one of the family's Travel Agency's hostels half way throughout my stay, which was unforeseen but I didn't mind. Meals were great and I got to learn a lot about Morocco and the Berber culture from Hocain and his family. Overall great time!
Purple Camel Hostel is a very chill place, with a nice atmosphere and very well located. Working there you'll be able to reach everything in Marrakech and learn more about the city.
You'll also be able to do some tours around the country, which is awesome! I had a great time there!
Hocaine, Ilham and Abdel. the amazing staff, make me feel at home since the day I arrived. Always happy, always williing to help. The Purple Camel gives you the perfect mix between experiencing Morroco and its people, having fun, meeting new people from all over the world and work!
P.S. and it comes with a perfect location too!
