Cyclone Gaja resulted in inconceivable devastation. Gaja made landfall near Vedaranyam in Nagapattinam District in Tamil Nadu in the early hours of November 16th 2018. This job will be physically active and you will be standing on your feet and using your hands to get the work done. Work will include cleaning up debris from the storm, cutting down trees, cleaning and rebuilding destroyed houses, cleaning and pumping polluted water sources.
40 hours of help per week
Painting & Decorating: Help to maintain the appearance inside and outside the building.
Handyman: Help with a wide range of repairs.
1 day off per week

Assessment teams have been mobilized across the city and to nearby towns. Relief work is underway and we continue to need volunteers. The need here is great as we have seen an abnormal rise of sea levels has inundated the low lying areas of coastal regions drowning human beings and live- stock, eroding beaches and embankments, flooding neighborhoods and towns, destroying vegetation and reducing soil fertility. Nearly 249,083 people were evacuated and housed in 493 cyclone evacuation shelters across the state. It claimed more than 60 lives.
You will be expected to work everyday from 8am - 4pm with breaks in between. You will be provided with free housing and meals. You are responsible for all travel to and from Tamil Nadu, IN. In addition, we ask that you bring €35 / $40 / ₹2800 to cover your transport and other administrative costs while in Nagapattinam.
