Learn more about tropical ecology, bird biology & conservation! Gain hands-on experience and practical research skills! Participate in campaigns on a variety of environmental issues; to assist in the provision of a comprehensive Environmental Health Service which will focus on the local environment through a combination of advice and education. Colombia has 1886 bird species; most in the world! The lake is home to many migratory birds!


Title

24 hours of help per week

Animal Care: Help look after and take care of animals.

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Handyman: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.


What you get

3 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Tent: You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.

Cook your own meal: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Program Details

Help the program coordinator will all aspects of the habitat. You may help with tourists & park visitors; you may help with the maintenance and care of the facilities, and/or you may help with the wildlife (birds, fish, iguanas, turtles).


Activities & Shift

Assisting any of the professional roles in the habitat.
