The experience was amazing! Diego is very nice, helpful and patient, especially in the first times. The atmosphere in the hostel is really cozy and the tasks are not so difficult, can be done quickly so a lot of time is left to explore the city and getting to know the other volunteers !
I would certaintly recommend this experience to fellow travellers!

This was my first experience with Worldpackers and I learned so much! I stayed at GB for 2 months, and because of COVID-19 Diego kindly allowed me to extend the stay at the hostel. There, I had the opportunity to improve my english and develop my intercultural learning. Besides that, Diego always made us feel confortable to take decisions in order to improve the hostel, so we really felt part of a team.

Grandbackpackers was good, the guys were so friendly especially Diego the manager. The hostel is ran by backpackers and I really enjoyed the role. You take it in turn to have shifts between 8:30am and 12:30am. Its easy to swap shifts if you want to go on a small trip. The work is easy so you have to find things to keep you busy and keep the place sparkly clean. The hostel has 18 beds which I thought was very small but you still get to meet lots of travellers. Whilst I was there Diego was constantly bringing stuff to make the hostel better. I had to leave but I would definitely go back.
