Being at Geoversity, I uncovered several “firsts” including harvesting and constructing with bamboo, chopping down citronella, and hiking through the jungle. The tasks varied by difficulty and were fair. And we also had a good amount of time that we could either spend alone or chill with others. The environment is relaxing and very green. All of the people who work with Geoversity were kind, especially Nico, Anthony, Mark and Doris. Grateful for the time I had here 🥰

The time in Mamoni filled me with gratitude This is such a special place. I was able to learn so much about permaculture and the jungle ecosystem and enjoyed every moment that I was surrounded by the beautiful nature there. The people I met now have a place in my heart. At this point, thanks to Mark & Nico, you are great hosts and to the local chef Angel, who was like a little brother to me. I had a fun and exciting time there and would definitely recommend it. Gracias por todods geoversity, I will come back 💛🙏🏾🌞

The Mamoni center is the place to be if you're looking for an immersive experience in nature. The people there are super welcoming and ready to help and listen to any of your needs. The job can be heavy but also so fun it feels light (+ the work day ends pretty early so you have all the night to relax and spend time with people or alone). This was my first worldpackers experience and I would absolutely recommend! Just be aware that you will be completely immersed in nature 24/7 🌴🌼🐒 muchas gracias Geoversity!

It was kinda exactly how i imagined it to be. I stayed for 3 weeks and was able to work on a lot of different tasks therefore learned a lot. If you are generally interested in environmental sustainability and agraculture this place is perfect. I came to learn but also to detox from the stressfull city-life, the all surrounding forest provides one with a very vibrant but calming energy. I slept great in my tend, food was a lot and amazing. Hours were very fair and flexible, nico who is "in charge" of the campus is a very funny and understandable guy, big shoutout to him and esma(the cook)!!

This was the best first solo experience I could've asked for. Being a first time female solo traveler was intimidating but Panama was incredibly safe. I had a chance to learn a bit of Spanish and practice it as well as most of the staff only speaks Spanish. The reviews are accurate because Nicky (Nico) was actually a great storyteller and the best host. We are now besties. Mark was nice for the brief time I met him. One thing I'd like to note is that you will most likely stay in a tent so be sure you're comfortable with that. It wasn't communicated until a few days before my trip.

The organization main campus at Mamoní Valley Preserve is lovely. Nico is kind and funny and really cares for volunteers - he's definitely the dad of Mamoní. Mark is likewise wonderful. Both men are well-versed on the beauty of the location and the cool stuff to see and do in nature. I was also able to work with many other wonderful people such as Nathan and Zita, Claus, Juan Carlos, and others in the city. Good people. Great organization. Legit community/family environment at Mamoní. Awesome experience to reconnect to nature and chill for a bit.

My experience at Geoversity was amazing! At Mamoní I found very kind people eager to share with you. I helped with maintenance and gardening while learning about Panama's biodiversity. Other interesting things to learn about waste management and energy generation at Center Mamoní. I recommend this volunteering experience to anyone who wants to connect with nature and learn about sustainability. Thanks to the Geoversity Staff and other volunteers for such a great experience.

Absolutely loved my time with Geoversity! I've learned many new things and loved spending my time outdoors. The location is remote, but it is perfect to get more in touch with nature whilst still having great facilities. The nature is beautiful and relaxing. The best part were the people, especially Nico and Esme. Nico is a great guy from whom you can learn a lot and Esme is super nice and makes the best food! The other volunteers were also great company, would definitely recommend!

This was a great experience and it was amazing to meet such an amazing people as the stuff. The food was absolute delicious, the place is totally immersed in the nature and the atmosphere is cozy. I d recommend this experience to someone who likes this type of environment and who also like adventure. I wish i could have done more tours and activities, but i've only stayed one week so probably that's the reason why i didn't have the chance

I had an amazing time at Geoversity with the amazing people who live there and the highly vibrating the organization that we lived in. If you are a person that likes being surrounded by nature, this is the place. Also that was probably the healthiest month in my entire life. Definitely looking to come back in a few years.
