The Experience

Big Bear Lake is one of the first towns with a hostel for thru-hikers attempting to hike the entire 2,650-mile long Pacific Crest Trail. This trail town is a major destination for thru-hikers and outdoor enthusiasts. The lodge you will be living in is from thy early 1900s. So we are always looking for people who are skilled in construction and home maintenance. It's a added bonus if you like the outdoors!

I recommend this place to volunteer (If you like snow sports, you have to go in winter season. But in summer enjoy the sun on the lake and it is really nice)

Best Hostel in all San Bernardino County, the team it's great, meal's are great and 100% included, there's tons of activities to do, everyday you can do something different, it's perfect to go out of the city, and you need to like camping, because sometimes all the team organize and go to camp all together, and the best part, once in a while we all go to San Diego for a few day, to one of the other ITH locations, sovits great, thanks for the great moment in the Mountains! Be back for sure!!
