The Exchange

Work 7am-11am six days a week (day off flexible) and spend the rest of your time enjoying all that Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) has to offer. You will receive a comfortable bed to sleep in, breakfast daily and award-winning organic coffee. You'll also meet interesting people from around the world and help to build a unique environmentally-friendly, social enterprise hostel, in the heart of one of the world's most vibrant cities. Title

24 hours of help per week

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Administration: Help with booking systems and payments.

Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.


What you get

1 day off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Get free drinks or beverages.: Drink up! Get free and tasty drinks for yourself.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.


Requirements

Fluent English

Over 18 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or pairs)

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa


Program Details

Potential volunteers will be vetted via a skype/facebook video call. This will provide a chance for us to get to know each other and to ensure that our expectations and goals are aligned. We want this to be a mutually-beneficial experience and so want to make sure that any volunteers are a good fit.


Rules

- Treat guests with respect (you will likewise be treated with respect during your time with us).
- Be in the reception area and available for guests from 7am-11am (our reception desk opens at 7am and it is important that you are ready to go by then). If you need to leave, ask one of the other staff to cover for you.
- Track any money paid back to guests or received from guests in cloudbeds using notes and folio features (training will be provided).
- Be pleasant and helpful. You don't have to smile if you do not feel like it, but it is important to us that our guests feel welcome and that you as part of our team are pleased to be serving them.
