Bamboo Jungle Adventures, we are the leading in bamboo enterprise in the country with visions as a social enterprise, encouraging villagers and volunteers alike to participate. We conduct training and workshops on various aspect of bamboo from planting, harvesting, treatment, furniture and building construction. Our village is very welcoming and hospitable and we are excited to invite foreigners to get a taste of our culture.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Animal Care: Help look after and take care of animals.

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Handyman: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

What you get

2 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Get free drinks or beverages.: Drink up! Get free and tasty drinks for yourself.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.


Intermediate English or Intermediate Malay / Malaysian

Between 18 and 65 years old

Program Details

Come and assist us to upkeep and run this bamboo village ie guesthouse, bamboo workshop and nursery. We are looking for dedicated and keen helpers to share their knowledge about community living with us, help us on marketing our product and services, . In exchange, we offer training in bamboo working and construction — you will have the chance to have hands on experience with making various items from bamboo, as well as getting a broad understanding of how diverse bamboo can be. Our goal is to set up a space that is environmentally friendly which helps bring more attention to a sustainable way of life, setting an example in our small community. Promoting bamboo as the green gold and the planet savior.

Activities & Shift

Cleaning and housekeeping, building maintenance & repair, helping on bamboo projects, assist in conduct bamboo trainings & workshop. Assist in community projects.
Working hours 8:30am to 1:30pm with 30 minutes break.
Monday to Friday.


No alcohols and drugs.
Smoking only at designated place.
