I would highly recommend volunteering at the schoolinthe school! - Shova, the school principal is a great host, warm, accommodating, and always kept my interests first. She gave me the flexibility to pick the content I was teaching and made changes to the current timetable to allow me to teach Grades 9 and 10. - The students and staff who live on campus made me feel at home, and always gave me company- I miss spending time with them! - The day schoolers were exceptional too, so respectful, kind and always asking how I was doing, and If I had eaten :)

The experience is one of the best I have had in my life, being able to teach my language in another country, being able to live with children and local people all the time, is something that marked my life, since I learned about their culture, customs and religions. The people are very kind, sociable and loving. Personally you have to adapt to the local life and with basic things, the food is very tasty, the accommodation has many areas of improvement (you may encounter some animals that you are not used to), but the connection with the children can make it all worth it. I really love it!

My experience in the school was simply amazing! It was not easy to leave. Shova was always welcoming and supportive. Her family as well as the kids living in the school make you feel at home from the very first day. I had so much freedom to design my classes and taking the initiative is always very welcome! The kids are incredible; sweet, smart and funny. I have been the happiest person alive with them by my side. I will try to come back again in the future. If you need a sign to come here and help, don't hesitate, this is it!
