The Exchange

We need a Social Worker Volunteer Assistant. Assist in helping our organization in a wide variety of fields to bring a positive impact among the children and the community. volunteer can do are one or some of the following activities : Grant/Concept Writer, Web Developer, Sports Activist, Video Shooting, Photography, Cooking, Child Care, Teaching English


What you offer

20 hours of help per week

Content Writer: Write, edit and publish inspiring content.

Photography: Take, edit and provide amazing photos.

Video Making: Create, edit and publish digital videos.

Social Media: Maintain and update social media channels.


What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.


Requirements

Intermediate English or Fluent English

Between 18 and 70 years old

Program Details

Our volunteer programs are a great opportunity for you to travel to Kenya and experience true Kenyan culture, while also greatly improving the lives of children who desperately need your help.

Anyone can be a volunteer - teachers, sports activists, fundraisers, engineers, photographers, web designers, doctors, students, carpenters, travelers, mothers, fathers, etc. We welcome anyone who is motivated. We are trying to help the African child to smile through our interactive education programmes. Come and help us to achieve this goal.

Volunteers live in a home stay program while here, closely linked with the school
Volunteers are given a chance to experience a very authentic African lifestyle in all aspects
It is a great chance for you to be a part of a different culture and to learn about how others live their lives.


Activities & Shift

Volunteers are free to choose among the following tasks to do depending on the skills and experience;-
1. Grant Content Writer- Researching industry/organizations-related to grants and apply for such grants on behalf of the organization. Volunteer to create online fundraising links e.g crowdfunding to raise funds for the Blessed Junior Center programme support. There is a stipend for this activity.
2. Organization's Web Developer:- The role is responsible for designing, coding and modifying websites/pages, from layout to function and according to our organization specifications. Strive to create visually appealing site that feature user-friendly design and clear navigation to meet our objectives.

3. Or help in General Activities such as Video Shootinng/Editing to market our projects, Photography, Child Care, Teaching, Cooking, Sports Activist and Artist


Rules

No smoking within the project (School Compound) but use designated areas for smoking.
