Hello, travelers! We're looking for volunteers who can bring new gardening ideas and techniques and help us build a beautiful garden for our learning center! Join us :)

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

What you get

2 days off per week

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Holistic Therapies: You can take part in any of our therapeutic activities for free.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Program Details

Kaaya began with an experiment on sustainable living; to see what happens when the urban start living in rural region. Now it is gradually evolving as an eco-system of social enterprises around sustainable living and provides a context for proactive engagement of students, families, travelers, farmers, volunteers, interns, researchers from different parts of the world with local action for sustainability.

Activities & Shift

Kaaya Mornings are usually meditative combined with forest walks or watering the plants.

First work shift session begin from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm when the assigned work for the volunteers is provided. In this session they are part of the larger team and are expected to contribute as per team's work needs.

After rest and free time, The 2nd work shift begins from 3.00 pm till 6.00 pm (in winters till 5.00 pm). In this second shift, the volunteer is expected to take lead and do what he/she want to do and contribute in consultation with Kaaya team and they can design an independent project for which other team members can be mobilized.

Evening are usually relaxed for volunteers to explore around or enjoy, music, bonfire, or just cooking


Kaaya is embedded in rural ecology and volunteers are expected to retain the spirit of co-existence and mutual respect for the life around Kaaya
