Farming and community gardening in our agricultural project
The experience
We are an NGO from San Marino with numerous humanitarian and community projects around the world. We are looking for volunteers for our Lusaka, Zambia project that want to make a difference and teach new skills to our local workers. This project includes a bakery and an agricultural project where we we supply 40 families with farm land as well as everything they need to plant, grow and harvest vegetables to sell and consume.
What you offer
25 hours of help per week
Social Work:
Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.
Handyman:
Help with a wide range of repairs or building.
Gardening:
Help grow plants and cultivate gardens
Farming:
Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.
What you get
2 days off per week
Private Room:
You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.
Breakfast:
You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
Lunch:
You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.
Dinner:
You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.
Free Laundry:
You can use our laundry room freely.
Bikes at your disposal:
You can use our bikes any time you want.
Pick Up:
We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.
Use our equipped kitchen:
Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Program Details
We are an NGO from San Marino with numerous humanitarian and community projects around the world.
We are looking for volunteers for our Lusaka, Zambia project who are passionate about making a difference and helping train and teach new skills to our local workers.
All of our profits are made into bakes goods that we supply to orphanages, schools, prisons and other charities on a daily basis.
We also started an agricultural project where we supply 40 families with 20 square meters of farm land (each) as well as everything they need to plant, grow and harvest vegetables to sell as well as for their own consupmtion (seeds, fertilizer, insecticide and water).

Rules
We offer accomodation on the bakery premises which will be shared with the volunteers running the project. There is a double room with bathroom with a shared kitchen area. The volunteers will be expected to work 5 hours a day 5 days a week as required and will receive daily meals.
Any travel expenses or visa requirements will be covered by the volunteer but we can help with the visa process if needed.
