I couldn't have chosen a better african experiente! Rehema, host and owner of WEEDO, is a strong woman with incredible ideas and an example to be followed. All social volunteering experiences should be in local NGOs like hers: with a strong foundation and the goal of helping the the organization others in the long run, not just remedying problems momentarily. The program has a variety of activities. So, no matter what your specialty, you can certainly both contribute and learn together. And be sure to experience Tanzanian life as it is, a unique and enriching experience.

WEEDO is a great organisation where I could share any sills I was good in it. As a conputer scientist I had the chance to teach computer casses, video editing and we started to creat a website. The hospitality from he host was exceptional. I recommend it for any worlpacker it is a interesting expirience.

It was a lifetime experience with Rehema and the WEEDO team!! the the organization has a beautiful purpose and, more than that, they are really managing on how to do it, and bringing real impact to the place where they are. I went there to perform administrative and process improvement work, and what I found was a perfect field for that (and also for any work): open minded people and really willing to get the best for their business. They have a lot of needs and are opened to the volunteer proposal. The staff is friendly, funny and really makes you dive into the local culture. Must go!

Rehema es una increíble mujer, que ha formado WEEDO, para mi fue una experiencia increíble, poder aportar en este hermoso proyecto que trabaja para empoderar mujeres, además tuve la libertad de poder crear mis propias clases y enseñar lo que yo sé, nutrición y salud. La casa donde me quedé esta al lado del colegio, pero ambos están un poco alejados del centro de Dar es Salaam. Si necesitas algo es importante la comunicación, Rehema siempre esta abierta a escuchar, por lo que no esperes el último día. La única dificultad fue que las niñas no hablan tanto inglés,pero están aprendiendo ;)
