As someone from London, farm life was a slight shock to the system - and perhaps one I really needed. An incredible experience, that took me out of my comfort zone, and was made possible by an amazing team. Pedro is brilliant, he is kind, straightforward, and funny, and really looks after all his volunteers. I could not have asked for a better host for my first volunteering and I know that we will all remain friends for life. The workshop I gave was one of the most life affirming things I have ever done. Overall, just a brilliant experience. Thank you, Pedro.

Pedro and his family are very generous and helpful, always willing to to explain and give you tips on what to do in the city, and always very flexible with the work days. The work is ok, but I believe it should be specified that the workshops and retreats with the kids are in another city and it's you that has to pay for the bus ticket. His house was very dirty in general, the room I stayed in was in a different house and had all kinds of insects coming into the room, even with the door always closed.

I spent 3 weeks with Pedro and he did everything to make we feel welcomed. The weekly schedule is very relaxed and you have a lot of free time to explore Bogotá and the area. It is definitely the perfect opportunity for meeting locals, improving your spanish and simply emerging in the Columbian culture. It's been an experience I wouldn't trade in for the world and it made me fall in love with the Columbian culture and people. 10/10 would recommend. Just make sure you know some basic Spanish beforehand:)

Well, I don't know from where to start, before anything it was one of the best experiences of my life. That's kind of experience reminds me why I like so much to travel. The experience with the Fundación Anawin was about love, about connection with people, about breathing with the help of the beautiful Colombians landscapes and about the generosity of Pedro. I never was so well treated in some trip of this nature. I'm very happy!!

Pedro is a very caring and sensitive host who is eager for travelers to experience as much as they share with local youths and children he works with through his foundation. He has a large dog called Aika who is adorable and will take you for walks through the park Piedras del Tunjo
