The Experience

We desperately need someone to fix our tech-related issues like websites and our OTAs [like Booking.com/Agoda/Expedia]. You basically just need to spend few hours a day to help us calibrate the issues related to our day-to-day tech issues since none of us are expert in this at all. We would love if you could give a tips or two to us on how best to handle our website and OTAs. Help ussssss : ]

We were very well welcomed by the owner and the staff. We worked on photos and videos so our working hours were flexible due to our ideas and vision. We shared a dorm with other volunteers. Everyday meals were local cuisine so we could try original malay dishes. We had a lot of free time and we also could experience attractions like island hopping and trekking. We really enjoyed our stay and we recommend it to everyone who wants to experience island life in malay style.

Bayu Lestari, was a memorable experience for me. The serene atmosphere coupled with the team who treats you like your own family, has made it an eye-opening working getaway. You are allowed to work at your own pace with little discretion. Though I was appointed to refresh their website, the welcoming feeling has made me try to do anything I could to make things better for them. I recommend anyone who's coming here to bring a decent amount of choclates as there isn't a convenient store on the island. My extended gratitude to Ibu Rose and Ben for allowing me to etch this unforgettable memory.

We've been missing you terribly already Fendy! Thank you for the greats memories, advice and yes, do come back again soon with lots of chocolates and the ever-missed air "Proton goyang-goyang"! Cheers.

I definetly found my home in malaysia, palau babi besar is such a "small" (there are smaller islands), quiet, natural and interesting island. Rose is a really kind and open mind person, for her the opinions of the volunteers are really important and she is even interested about their experiences!!! the rest of the staff is really helpfull and kind too!!
completely recommended !!!

This was an excellent experience! The people are very kind and friendly. The beach is beautiful. There were other volunteers sharing the room with us and we made friends with them, too. The tasks are ok and they gave us freedom to use our time as long as we took the pictures and video they needed. We felt really comfortable and had plenty of time to enjoy the beach and the island. We also went on some excursions with them, they provided kayak, snorkeling masks, and bicycles. We totally recommend this place to anyone who enjoys a very tranquil life (there're no other shops or places around!)
