Faro is a great central base from which you can explore the Algarve. Hostel 33 is situated close to the airport, bus station, train station and also a marina, what gives you a nice opportunity to travel all around and we are aware of this, so we offer you 2 days off per week. Your shifts will not consist of anything hard, just some help with the cleaning and reception (check-in and check-out). Come and enjoy Portugal with us!Learn more

The hostel is well located, near the bus and train stations & less than 5' walk to the city center.Something very good is that all meals are covered, so you won't have extra expenses, & you can use the washing machine for free. The mainly tasks are cleaning & reception. The shifts are organized to be 8hs each (morning, afternoon and night), although if you want, you can only do the 5/6hs volunteering (in my opinion is somewhat difficult if there aren't many volunteers, because would overload others). Most guests are only a couple of nights in Faro: no dinners or tours are organized by the hostel.
I loved working at Hostel 33, the hours were fair and I got to travel all around the Algarve region. The volunteers had a room to ourselves and is great. The only thing I would say is that it says dinner is included but it is actually the food from the breakfast that is allowed to eat whenever, and that consists the “dinner”. But, overall I had a great stay, thanks to the other volunteers and staff :)
