The experience

Hello , we are Wili and Isabel, Wili is an amazonian native and Isa is from México, we are developing a project to preserve Haramkbut culture and the amazonian jungle. We live in Shintuya, a small native community of 60 houses next to Madre de Dios river. Working areas:

PRACTICE OF TRADITIONAL AMAZONIAN MEDICINE



What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

Additional fee required

Amount: US$ 10 Per day

Fee pays for: Benefits for travelers

Description: Volunteers will colaborate with 10 dollars daily to help us achieve our montly reforestation goals. and help with their food, and house expenses.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Program Details

We really love to welcome people in our home. We ask volunteers to be really open and respectful because is a native community and the culture there is different.
Its a great chance to learn how to live in contact with nature and connect with mother earth.
we are happy to share the knowledge so if you are interested in certain topic please let us know so we can personalize your experience.
Wili was born in the community, he knows all the secrets of the forest, he heritage from his father the knowledge of the traditional medicine and plants such as Toe and Ayahuasca. He is an artist, painter, dancer. He also knows how to built a house using just a machete. Isa is a herbalist and a bioenergetic healer, she is an artist as well So you can learn a lot from us and from the forest itself . we are happy to learn from you too.


Activities & Shift

we wake up really early in the morning because at this time is not so hot, we eat breakfast and then we work for a couple of hours, then we eat lunch and then work for some more time; in the afternoon we have free to , read, make traditional handcrafts with seeds we collect from the forest , visit people from the village to talk and learn from their culture or just relax in the hamock.
