Program Details

Volunteers work along side our interns and land stewards on various farm projects. Volunteers live in community on our land and have access to our edible gardens. Length of stay is variable but we welcome folks to stay through October to help us prepare for winter.

Activities & Shift

Work shifts are Tuesday through Friday. We meet every morning at 8am for a check-in and review of that day's tasks. Morning chores include animal care and watering as well as tidying up communal spaces. Projects vary from Icelandic Sheep wool washing and picking to building a new outdoor kitchen. Harvesting and preserving vegetables, herbs and fruit is also common. We have an hour lunch break from 12-1pm and a 15 minutes break at 3pm. The work day wraps up around 5pm.

There are various rules and expectations posted around the farm to help guests know what is needed to maintain a clean and healthy living space.
