This place is nice; huge grassy area, pool, & comfortable dorms. The staff is awesome, with some exceptions. Before I got there I'd gotten a remote job, so to be fair I signed up prior to knowing my schedule would change. Between both jobs, I was getting a max of 4 hrs sleep a night. I talked to the manager about it and she didn't seem to care nor offered much to help. I left early after they moved the other volunteer & I for the THIRD time, to another property that wasn't open yet or clean. I didn't feel respected or valued by the manager & the other staff members expressed the same feelings.
Volunteering at Hotel M&M was incredible. I will never forget all of the friends I made among the staff and guests. Everyone was extremely accommodating and friendly. I ended up working maintenance from 7:30am to 1pm, then had the rest of the day to do whatever I wanted. I spent a lot of time going to different beaches on the bikes the hotel provided. I went snorkeling many places and saw an insane amount of beautiful fish and other ocean life. Each week I had three days off that I could use to travel or to just hang out in Coco. The breakfast provided each morning was always delicious!
At Hotels M&M we are known for our kind and helpful family. We will welcome you and make you feel as if you were staying at your home at the beach in Costa Rica. A perfect base to explore, rest and share. Come as a volunteer and return as a friend!About the host
