It was a great moment being at Bayu Lestari. Ibu and other staffs were very welcoming and nice. I can say everything is good from the accommodation, food, tasks, daily activities and others. Would love to come again to Bayu Lestari in the future <3. And also, it is an island, there are no convenience store, so get ready with some food stocks like chocolates or anything. When you are done with your tasks, you can go to their jetty for fresh air. The environment was very calming and serene.

We were very well welcomed by the owner and the staff. We worked on photos and videos so our working hours were flexible due to our ideas and vision. We shared a dorm with other volunteers. Everyday meals were local cuisine so we could try original malay dishes. We had a lot of free time and we also could experience attractions like island hopping and trekking. We really enjoyed our stay and we recommend it to everyone who wants to experience island life in malay style.

Bayu Lestari, was a memorable experience for me. The serene atmosphere coupled with the team who treats you like your own family, has made it an eye-opening working getaway. You are allowed to work at your own pace with little discretion. Though I was appointed to refresh their website, the welcoming feeling has made me try to do anything I could to make things better for them. I recommend anyone who's coming here to bring a decent amount of choclates as there isn't a convenient store on the island. My extended gratitude to Ibu Rose and Ben for allowing me to etch this unforgettable memory.

I definetly found my home in malaysia, palau babi besar is such a "small" (there are smaller islands), quiet, natural and interesting island. Rose is a really kind and open mind person, for her the opinions of the volunteers are really important and she is even interested about their experiences!!! the rest of the staff is really helpfull and kind too!!
completely recommended !!!
