Brazil

I didn't miss home at all these 3 months I spent at JS Hostel. Working hours were pretty flexible, and since it was near the subway station I really got to know Sao Paulo. Both the owners and the receptionist care if you're enjoying your stay, and if you feel lost they provide you with maps, give you directions via whatsapp, like a real family. Daniel, the hostel's manager, has real care for the volunteers, and always helped us when we needed - even by covering for us on the desk once so we could spent time together on a Happy Hour :)

Brazil

Flexible hours, nice location and possibility to develop new abilities. Had some problems with one of the staff member and one of the long term guests which didn't accept volunteers and couldn't understand the meaning of exchanging skills for accommodation. I'm really disappointed by how the owner dealed with it. We (volunteers) tried to talk him in many occasions but after a while there was no use anymore, not only about them but also regarding to some new ideas for the hostel. It's a new place and I feel it has a great future but I'd appreciate more if we could be more often listened.

Brazil

I couldn't ask for a better experience at JS Hostel. In the middle of this huge city full of busy people I found people with the biggest heart ever. Daniel (father and son), dona Vera, dona Fátima and Katia made me feel like I were at home and treated me as part of the family. Working and living here was an experience that made me grow as a person and I'll never forget that. I have no words to thank them for treating me so kindly during my stay. Thank you!

The experience was incredible! I learned a lot from Dona Fátima. The location of the hostel is very good. And the atmosphere very peaceful. Great for anyone who is studying, or working.

I loved the place, licalização is cool because it is the very close to the metro, but to be in the madeleine village is very calm and has no bars next, the house also has very conservative and serious people, it's pretty cool to who is studying next or want a quiet and family place to stay!
