The Experience

After evening class we normally have sports with children for half an hour where we play different kind of sports and Games. It's a good opportunity for them to learn new and different kinds of games. Fridays are for sports, children used to play the whole day. In the morning we play with little children and in the evening we play with older children from all around the street. Our volunteers are involved to teach them different games

The entire profile of the organization was based on lies. For starters Emmanuel (not sure if that is his real name any more) powded the profile of the volunteer experience offering tons of perks to the volunteers, such as surf lessons, yoga classes, free hikes, free tours, free drinks, and basically every option he had on the world packers platform. This was not true, he gave us none of this things. We found out that the kids had to pay for the "free education", that the teachers were not payed, that the kids got no education on multiple subjects and that he uses the volunteer money for him.

Well... Thank you my friend for your feedback and i appreciate your point of view.

First you didn't ask any information from the office regarding the issues your talking about. I think was the best to ask the information from the office instead of getting information from someone else who is not involving in the project.. Am sure 100% all the information you have are wrong and i could provide you with correct information if you could ask me

Had an amazing time here! The house and living space is very nice, clean and comfortable. The school is amazing! The kids are super excited to learn! The whole thing was a really unique and impactful experience.

This is a family. You will enter a real deep cultural profound experience. Will interact with locals and teach others, providing useful knowledges for them to grow and create a bigger impact in society. They really do need your help. If you arrive with motivation to make the difference, you will have plenty of activities to do. Emmanuel is a unique and kind host, get ready to arrive home.

It was great. Best aspects were clarly Emma's flexibility, his immense effort to help us in everything we need and his open posture to accept ideas for the school. OTOH some aspects can be improved to get the most of volunteers´presence there. Also during our stay, there was a very negative situation in which I hope Emma will try to prevent it from happening again. To sum up, I´m very happy with the experience since it made me feel part of Emma´s family and Chamazi, among the 8 volunteers we made a great group and if you go with own initiative you can do lot of good.
Open to any doubt :)

Thank you Mr Carlos for your feedback and I appreciate your point of views. Because I had a big group of volunteers ( 8Volunteers) was difficult to manage all by my self, I trusted friends and gave them opportunity to youth to get involved with our volunteers and teach our culture, traditional and showing around in the city, and getting our volunteer s immersed in our culture.
Unfortunately they were not good friends they just pretended they were good but they caused problems to our volunteers at the end. I will take your advice very positively and situation like this will not happen again. Now everything is going well and I manage the school, accommodation and trusted people around our project.

Thank you

I had a great time at samaritans, I think it’s a very good project for the kids in the community and Emma and his family are good hearted people, they made me feel at home.
I liked Emma's way of relating to the children a lot, he’s very patient and you can tell that he enjoys what he does, also mama Britty’s food is delicious.
I definitely recommend this experience.
