The Exchange

About the work: We need you 6 days a week doing different shifts including cleaning, laundry, reception, breakfast and interacting with guests (4 hours a day for the volunteer's position). In exchange for your help, you get a bed in a shared staff room, breakfast, lunch, free bikes, and open bar with beers, soft drinks, etc! All applicants must hold an EU PASSPORT or be eligible to work in the Netherlands. FEMALES only due to cabin arrangements


What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.


What you get

1 day off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Drinks: Get discounts for drinks and beverages from our bar.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or pairs)

Program Details

The work is for 6 days on the week with one day off. No more than 25 hours per week.
We ask for proactiveness, do a proper work since we need to offer the best stay to our guest, creating a good vibe.
Me and Lili are very open to suggestions so we can make it nice and easier for everyone.
Plus the beauty and entertainment of the city.


Activities & Shift

Breakfast: It should be served at 8:30 until 10 am. But the preparation starts around 7:30.
During the breakfast, the volunteer has to take care that all the plates are filled so doesnt matter the time that the guest wakes up, there is always enough food.
After the breakfast finish, the kitchen, living room and office should be all cleaned.

Cleaning: Check out starts at 10:30. Since that hour the volunteer is available to start with the cleaningof the rooms, that invoulves change bed sheets, clean toilets, mopping, and laundry,

Reception: Check in starts at 16hs until 20hs. The voulunteer has to welcome the guest, taking the information that we need, giving the proper information to the guest that will need during the stay and in case its needed to take payment, be aware of that.
