The Experience

We just opened, our aim is to create the best hostel of the area if not Scotland, staff are the most important part of a hostel and the reason why guests like it or hate it. We love when staff are happy, and share happiness with others. We also love when staff helps with reception and cleaning task, but we even love more when they bring their touch and ideas to the place.

Learning & Fun

United States

I enjoyed volunteering at this hostel a LOT! The work is pretty easy-- about 2 hours of cleaning rooms in the morning, and then being available to check guests in after 4pm. There is a schedule that is quite fair, and allows everyone to have time to plan time outside of the hostel and travel around Fife! It's a quiet, peaceful town, but with lots of cute fishing towns within walking distance or short bus ride. I loved the hostel, and the guests who stay there are of a nice variety. I loved working here, and would recommend it to anyone who wants some beauty and the peace to enjoy it!

Wonderful, fun staff in a beautiful well maintained hostel. The views are stunning even in winter and it’s easy to explore Anstruther and nearby towns on foot or by bus. Work is evenly distributed and more than fair for what you receive in return. Fantastic kitchen to cook meals in. Loved it here.

I had a wonderful time working with MLH! Anstruther is a charming, refreshing little town on the coast and the work is relaxing and personal. Yann is a great person and friend. I would totally recommend this experience.

Mi experiencia en el Hostel fue muy buena. Estuve ahi por tres semanas y me he sentido realmente bien.
