Program Details

Catalyst For Change Vietnam is a social enterprise that aids disenfranchised women and children throughout Vietnam. Our goal is to support and empower women & children who still face the difficulties and disadvantages of a traditional society that continues to build barriers that limit their freedoms and opportunities.

Through the funding we are able to generate running the TEACH FOR CHANGE program with our partner schools, we are able to provide free support for marginalized women in Vietnam.

Our Empowerment Plan programs serve low-income, urban and rural families through educational and business support. With a focus on serving low-income women, ethnic minority women in rural areas, domestic violence victims, and single mothers, we help remove the obstacles that prevent these disadvantaged groups from achieving success and gender equality within their communities.

Activities & Shift

Volunteers will work for a maximum of 18 hours per week teaching English in the classroom to children who range from ages 4-16. While their specific schedule depends on the post location, all volunteers are given a curriculum, classroom resources, and a Vietnamese-speaking teacher's aide.

Rules

Our volunteers will be staying with host families who have graciously opened their homes and hearts to you, so we ask you to be respectful and kind to them. Additionally, because we help volunteers prepare their visas, volunteers must stay for the full duration of their commitment. If a volunteer leaves in the middle of their commitment, we are legally obligated to cancel their visa.
