I really enjoyed my time in Arambol with the shelter. Rani is a special person, making sure you are comfortable and well looked after. The food was really great, especially the breakfasts and coffee in the morning. Having been in rural Africa for 6 months I definitely appreciated the flush toilet. I did a lot of cooking for the shelter but my tasks were pretty varied. If you can ride a scooter that is a bonus because you can go out and feed the shelter. I will miss the animals. Come help the shelter and cats! Asante Dada!

This camp is perhaps the most authentic place in the shelter. It's a place for people and animals and inspiration. I had a great time staying here, the animals are lovely, the place is beautiful, simple, elegant and jungly. If you are patient with yourself Rani could teach you alot. The work involves maintenance, cleaning and just keeping a jungle camp together.

I was interested to go as a volunteer for the shelter. Though it was confirmed of my volunteer, later it was cancelled through the WhatsApp message. I think it's because of my lack of English knowledge. But according to me nothing is wrong from the Host, they are very good.I pray that One God the Supreme being to bless them and their good service abundantly.

Hah, where to start from? I had an amazing experience there. The place is located next to the river on the best spot of Arambol beach. The animals are super friendly and playful. The daily routines will help you understand what is needed to run a shelter (food, water supplies, cleaning, gardening, decorate). The people: You'll have the chance to meet the locals and wonderful travelers, volunteers or friends of "the shelter". And finally, Rani, a real hippie, the lady who dedicated her life to that, will be your guide, mentor and sister for a while. Totally recommended!

The place is simple, but surrounded by nature and two minutes from the beach. I loved spending this time surrounded by docile and super lovable animals. I also made friends and we shared great times together.

I stayed with Rani for about 3 weeks and fell in love with the space she has and all the shelter animals. if you love animals and want to help out, without minding to get a little bit dirty at times, please help Rani and her animals out . it will be an experience to remember for sure. one day I'll be back😁

I am grateful for the shelter. Veronica is international and has immense valuable experience which she is happy to share. Working with her has improved my mindset. I grew into attachment to all the fur buddies too. Helping wounded puppies, finding abandoned kitties and caring for them taught me a lot of patience and compassion. Veronica's insights into Arambol's culture helped me feel at home. So much so that I am hoping to settle there. Friendships formed here, through the challenges, the dinners, building fires, all the happy times... priceless.

I applied for this position because I noticed it was a dog shelter. I'm a parent to two rescued the shelter and wanted to assist the host with her tasks. However, the current situation doesn't match the images on Worldpackers. The place fell victim to a monsoon & was washed away. The host has been through a lot and I empathise with her but the truth is, I didn't sign up for this situation. The place requires a full-time volunteer and if you're willing to do that, it's great. the shelter and the cat are lovely, and I'll miss them. The location of this place is perfect for meeting international people.

As a Volunteer with the shelter I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. I've learned so many things about animals It was a wonderful experience. I had the feeling I was making a difference for the animals. I could sense how grateful they were for the time spent with them, and the love given. The staff on site was lovely and helpful. This was a great opportunity and I can only recommend it.

The place is an absolute dream. Volunteering here helped me fall in love with the animals. It made me see an animal like a person. How every cat or dog has a unique personality. I learned so many other things as well like food from different countries, lifestyles etc . I had a lovely time here and I wish could stay longer.
