I already miss this place and can only recommend it! The other volunteers and Adrián & Bri immediately made me feel at home, and the reoccuring (and absolutely delicious) common meals and nice conversations made it feel like a second family. The work is relatively easy, and there is always someone to ask. It's also fun to meet other travelers when working at the reception. The hours leave a lot of room for other activities, and Adrián and Bri were always understanding and flexible hosts, and lovely people. I couldn't have hoped for a better first volunteering, and I hope to return someday! <3

I loved my experience at the hostel. The work was easy and actually pretty fun:)I meet a lot of people and fell in love with the place. The hostel is really nice! Bri and Adrian are the nicest people ever, they are so welcoming and caring. Even tough it says that you have to cook your own meal they sometimes asked to join when they cooked and Adrian's cooking was amazing. All in all I'm so happy and grateful for my experience in La Fortuna and I can recommend the volunteering to everybody who is open to meet new people! The staff and other volunteers are so great and made my experience perfect

My experience in the hostel Palaces was very good, I was well received by Bri and Adrian (that are lovely people), they helped me whenever I needed and were always very flexible too. I'm glad that I did this volunteering because this is a great hostel to stay and the work was simple and easy! However during my experience I was the only volunteer so it turned out to be a little different from what I was waiting for and La Fortuna is also a small and very expensive town, and there is not much to do during the day. But overall this was a good experience and I really recommend it!

Palacio the hostel is a great place for a work exchange. You'll learn Spanish, immerse in the local culture, and meet wonderful people. The work is not too complicated and is exactly as said. The hosts are so welcoming and the atmosphere is cozy. The location is convenient for walking around and all necessities are close by but it's next to a noisy street which I had to get used to a bit. Bri is patient and kind, taking us to dance classes and helping with Spanish aswell as Adrian who learned me a lot of new skills andis an amazing cook. Overall, this work exchange was a good experience!
