The Exchange

We are a Australian / Greek family run small camping site ( glamping) on Kos island , Greece We opened for the first time in July this year and had a very positive experience working with volunteers We are now starting to prepare for the next season ( May to October 2021) and would like to host volunteers again. We have availability over two periods. Pre-opening ( January to April ) During this period the work is for handyperson / gardening / ge


25 hours of help per week

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Handyman: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

What you get

2 days off per week

Tent: You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Program Details

We are looking for flexible and enthusiastic volunteers to work 24 hours weeks with negotiable rosters depending on the work needed. We expect volunteers to be willing to participate in everything enthusiastically and to enjoy and be open learning and participating whole heartedly in our project! In return we offer a fun engaging and enjoyable experience, with warm hospitality. We are open to working as equals and making use of everyones unique skills and perspectives. We can also offer up an ideallic Greek country side setting with plenty of time to enjoy the island and culture.

Activities & Shift

Shifts will depend on the task and hand, and we are wanting to organise shifts based on task. some days will be landscaping, gardening, building all depending on skills and tasks needed. a maximum of 25 hours a working week over 7 days.


2 meals a day will be provided - breakfast & dinner, you will have space provided for your own personal groceries for your lunch & snacks.

Everyone must be treated with respect, and a no tolerance for any anti-social behaviour.

If guests are presenting during your stay, it is against rules for any volunteer to enter a guests tent even if invited.
