The Experience

This role involves ensuring the security of the hostel at night, some light cleaning duties, looking after late check-ins & serving our continental breakfast. The hostel only has 60 beds, so nights will be fairly quiet most of the time. If you are a friendly, outgoing person and fancy spending some time in England's friendliest and greenest city, don't hesitate to get in touch.

I recently had the pleasure of volunteering at this amazing hostel in Leeds (the location couldn't be better), and I couldn't be more delighted with my experience. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was met with incredible hospitality that set the tone for my entire stay. The other volunteers are a true gem. They are not just friendly and accommodating, but they genuinely care about making your stay as enjoyable as possible. From giving recommendations on what to do in Leeds to helping with any questions or requests, they go above and beyond to guarantee a great time!

Where do I even start? This was honestly one of the most amazing volunteer experiences I have ever had. Rhian, Sophie and Eiry are such an amazing team who made me feel comfortable from the very beginning. The tasks required were simple and enjoyable leaving you with heaps of time to explore the city and surrounding areas and the hostel was such a safe and comfortable environment to work in. I can't recommend this position more if you are looking for a place to situate yourself during travel or even work. I met amazing people and had a memorable time, thank you the hostel for having me.

It was the best volunteer hostel I've ever been to, it's close to the city and the working hours make it easy to enjoy the best of Leeds in your huge amount of free time. It was easy to organize my digital work with tourism and volunteering. Being part of the hostel family is a special gift I received, feeling hugged when you are traveling is priceless! Don't go with expectations, at the hostel you will meet so many cool people who will make your stay unforgettable. I can say I have real friends I can trust in Leeds. Special thanks to Mike, Sophie, Eiry and Rhian! What a lovely family!

Everyone at the hostel was really lovely and welcoming, both staff and employees. The work was super fair and straightforward, everything was really organized and the team is very supportive. Unfortunately I had to leave early, but Rhian was really understanding and wanted me to get the most out of my short time in Leeds. The hostel itself is fab with all differently designed rooms, has a great kitchen set up, and is only a short walk from the city centre. :)

This was my first time volunteering and the hostel met all my expectations. The team was lovely and we had a great time together. Work wasn't hard at all and I had plenty of free time to explore the city and its surroundings. I definitely recommend the experience to anyone ❤️
