The Experience

We need daily help in renovating an old farm that we would like to change into a nature friendly permacultural guest farm. We're just at the beginning of this big project and we spend our days either inside breaking down and then rebuilding or outside planting trees and bushes. A lot of hard work in a beautiful landscape! You'll work in teams with us and will be totally guided in the work to do. Meals are cooked with local and organic products.

Le chant des pierres is the perfect place if you want to have a real french experience and connect with nature. The landscape is beautiful and the family is very very nice and friendly. The food was amazing!!! And you will always share it with the family, along with very interesting conversations.
I'll miss you all!!!

I struggle to imagine a better first experience with Worldpackers than joining Paul, Ade, and the four children in their home. Everything work-related is clearly communicated, the meals are always timely and delicious, and there’s plenty of freedom to explore the area. If you’re looking for an immersing experience in French culture with genuine human beings, Le chant des Pierres is for you :)

The experience wasn't what I expected but I think I gained a lot from it. The work was very physical my entire stay which at times felt like too much. We spent weeks shoveling and laying gravel in the heat leading to blisters galore and perpetual soreness. I met some great people with whom I took several adventures to the supermarket, (highlight of the week!) The family was welcoming and the kiddos were sweet. I enjoyed being around the animals, especially Merlin, the sweetest cat I've met. Overall, I did feel very accomplished and like I was a part of something greater at the end of my stay.

Overall this was a very positive experience for me. The working hours were respected and very manageable. However, the work could be very strenuous at times, but the people made it fun. The family was very welcoming and the kids were awesome. I will never forget my month here!

In general the experience was great!
Is an amazing place to connect with nature and to get disconnected from the usual things of our everyday
Paul and Adelaide are so kind and the children adorable.
The atmosphere was not the best was these days due to the pressure of getting things done quickly, that sometimes can lead to feeling charged without being aware or it and also it make the interaction with the family more difficult. Anyway, they are aware of that and we talked about it sometimes to try to balance the ambience.
Thank u for everything!
It was nice to meet u all.
