Work at an amazing party hostel!


The Exchange

You will work 5 x 6 hour shifts in either our main bar, pool bar or on our tubing tour. On bar shifts you will assist our long term bar staff making cocktails, serving food, taking guest orders and playing party games. On our tubing tour you will help our local guides with their English while floating down a beautiful river and entertaining the guests. We're looking for fun energetic and hardworking people, with previous hostel/bar experience


Title

30 hours of help per week

Bartending: Make and serve drinks and help maintain the beverages inventory.

Requirements

Fluent English or Beginner Spanish

Between 21 and 50 years old

Be from outside Guatemala

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or pairs)

Program Details

This is a work exchange program where we need social people to help create a party atmosphere. We need people who will be responsible to perform tasks assigned while also having fun in a party hostel environment.


Activities & Shift

Main bar shifts will be at night working with a team between the hours of 4pm-1am (for 6 hours i.e 7-1am/4-10pm) you will take orders, serve food, play drinking games and make drinks.

Pool bar shifts are in the afternoons on your own from 1-7pm, taking and making drink orders, playing drinking games to keep guests entertained and happy.

Tubing shifts are 10-4pm with the tour leaving at 11am and returning around 2:30pm. Before the tour leaves you'll be talking with guests to explain the tour and organising the beers they want to take with them. On tour you'll help the guide with explanations in English and socialise with guests. On return you'll help the daytime bar staff serve drinks to the returning tour guests, and keep the party atmosphere going with drinking games.
