Program Details

The successful applicant will travel between social projects/favelas shooting video/photography content for our local projects.

The successful applicant & the ACE Projects team will pre-decide what is needed and what would be useful for the charity before the volunteer's departure. We also want to give creative freedom to the artist and therefore try not to get in the way to much but rather let the volunteer decide which way they want to go.

The volunteer is welcome to stay at our staff house located in Copacabana about 2 minutes from the beach. The accommodation is shared and the volunteer is expected to respect others' privacy & things.

Activities & Shift

ACE Projects accelerate local social leaders from favelas across Rio. People from favelas who want to make an impact in their communities but lack the necessary application, funding, and direction. ACE Projects provides this application, funding, and direction to help local leaders scale their organization's impact. We leave local leaders to do what they do best: change lives in their communities. We worry about the rest!

The role of this volunteer is to help capture the passion and dedication of these local leaders and their students. We want to show the world all the amazing things coming out of the favela and not the stereotype the media constantly portray it as.

This is a vitally crucial role for the organization and should be taken with utmost sincerity.

We want the successful applicant to have a great time in Rio and enjoy all the wonderful things it has to offer but we demand work of great quality and standard.

Successful applicants will provide us with a portfolio of their work and/or their social tags.
