Program Details

Our resort is located about 1.5 hours west of Kochi City and is the head water area of Shimanto River. Shimanto river is running through Kochi Pref, and famous for being the most beautiful river in Japan. In our property, a small river is flowing through and 11 cottages stand on this river. In our main building, we have onsen and guest rooms upstairs.
Since March 2017, we also welcome volunteers in this resort and over 140 helpers had stayed here and enjoyed working, fishing, cooking and so on.

Of course, this is designed for the accommodation, therefore we have to look after our guests as the first priority. Moreover, the majority of the guest is Japanese. However, we are getting more and more international guests as well now.

Activities & Shift

We want to increase the opportunity for helpers to enjoy this "Meeting place" in this beautiful rural area. Our management team is not perfect and may not always seem as attentive as you wish it would be as the business demands their complete attention. We usually have about 1 volunteer helper at a time (and 2-3 during peak season, so you can always have a chance to get acquainted with people from other countries).

Rules

Although we welcome any nationalities and ages, families and small children may not be suitable for this place.
Also, Japanese standard for the hospitality industry is relatively high and require more tensed and focused attitude for the tasks. We don't want you to work too long or to overwork but please focus on your job when you work, and enjoy rural life while you are here.
