The experience

We are currently looking for a person that has kitchen working experience to be the helping hand of our professional chef during our seminar times. The helper would learn how to prepare organic nutritional tasty vegetarian meals directly from our gardens, how to cook for groups, how to cook vegan and vegetarian and how to harvest food from our large gardens.


What you offer

32 hours of help per week

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.


What you get

2 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Tent: You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Travelers arriving by boat in Drake Bay will need to pay for a taxi transfer to Finca Ganadito (around USD 30).

Yoga classes: Take free yoga classes at our place.

Holistic Therapies: You can take part in any of our therapeutic activities for free.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Fluent English or Intermediate Greek

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Program Details

We are looking for two kitchen helpers that will do the two 6 hour shifts helping the chef for the preparation of the meals. First shift is 7 am to 1 pm and second shift 1 pm to 7 pm. Responsibilities will be to help with the preparation of the meals, harvesting greens from the garden, cleaning up after the chef during the preparation, make sure that teas, snacks and fruits are available on the kitchen table and making sure that the kitchen is clean and tidy. There will be one more of Re-Greens volunteer daily helping out with the cleaning up after the meals and storing the pots and left over food. The rest of the day you will be free of responsibilities to enjoy Re-Green and the surroundings.


Activities & Shift

Re-Green is a Permaculture Center with lots of activities that the volunteer might like to get partly involved in at his/her free time. The two shifts are 7 am to 1 pm and 1 pm to 7 pm
