My time working at the host was fantastic and Rick was also a fantastic host. Training is provided for the necessary tasks and making the pizzas is good fun. I truly felt welcomed by all the locals and I was definitely kept entertained on my time off. The month at the host flew by and I was sad for it to end :(

Rick and all his friends in Lac La Hache are the kindest people ever! I felt very welcomed :-) the day to day tasks are pretty easy going. Had great fun going to bingo & meat draw (new experiences for me!) you'll have a magic time at the host and make some friends for life.

Loved my experience at the café! Rick is so sweet and made me feel at home from the first day. The tasks are easy to do in my opinion and I loved learning how to make pizza and quesadillas. The latter is now part of my diet. I also liked how the restaurant wasn't busy 24/7, allowing me to have plenty of time to focus on my work as well. I also loved doing bingo (my first Canadian bingo experience btw) with Heather and wished we had gone more often!

Rick was very welcoming and very understanding. If you want a caring and respectful work environment, go for it! The work asks is quite right. For pizzas and other dishes, Rick explains everything well, in a week or less you'll be autonomous. Plus, thanks to Rick we were able to visit different small towns around, play golf and he told us the story of the area. He also introduced us to the locals and Heather and Bill (who are very nice). I recommend this experience since I enjoyed every minute of it! So, thanks for everything, Rick! I look forward to meeting you in Paris to show you around!

My experience at the host was incredible. Rick is a great host who is always looking out for you and the local people of Lac la Hace are spectacular. The friends close to the host became part of my family and I became part of theirs, without a doubt I am very grateful to each of them. The work was very relaxed, making pizzas, serving at the bar, all very nice. The town in general, although it is not very big, if your idea is to connect with nature, it is undoubtedly the best place.
