I had the most amazing few weeks at the Center, and it truly became one of my favorite work exchange experiences. From the moment I arrived, I felt I had everything I needed, from clear and attainable work tasks to a perfect balance of working on the land, assisting with retreats, and daily duties. I also felt so blessed to be a part of the retreat itself, which was a life-changing and transformative journey through yoga, meditation, and sound. Incredible hosts who radiate a love for what they do! Thank you, the Center, for the time in Maui— you will forever be my ohana. 🌸

I really enjoyed my stay with Heather and Donny. They are both very kind, passionate and knowledgeable about their crafts. The work can be a bit tedious, there really isn't much to do in the area and you need a car to get around. That said, getting to participate in the retreat, classes, ceremonies and 1-1 sessions are worth it!

Thank you Emma! Most of our volunteers have no issues getting around ... hitch hiking, making friends, getting rides, sharing cars! And many love to go to our beautiful waterfall down the street to swim and adventure regularly! I know you had more of an internal experience though. Thanks again for all of your wonderful help!

My experience at this place was absolutely incredible and truly life-changing. Heather and Donny are exceptional hosts from whom I learned so much, and for that, I am deeply grateful. The activities they offer during the retreats—yoga, meditation, sound healing, reiki, private sessions, and more—are extraordinary and genuinely transformative. The location itself is stunning, nestled in the heart of a tropical rainforest with breathtaking natural surroundings. However, it is quite remote, which can be a bit inconvenient without a car. Overall, this was an unforgettable experience.

I spent two months with Heather&Donny and it was life changing experience. Work mixed with the strong sun can be hard sometimes I'd recommend to be prepared for that. The property is absolutely stunning. The possibility to use the spa almost anytime is just amazing along with a spot at every ceremony/retreat. Please dig into this experience! You'll have a chance to really conect with the nature and with your inner self. You'll meet amazing people, see Maui and feel the spirit of Aloha. I am very grateful for Heather & Donny. I have much love for them and the whole the Center.

My first volunteer experience with the Center was one I will always be thankful for! Heather and Donny made me feel right at home and welcome into their ohana. Being off grid and a part of a community and environment different than my own really taught me a lot about sustainability, true connection, and of course the island of Maui! The work was as stated, although I did help out on some weekends for events, but I always had a spot to attend in the ceremonies which I found very inspiring and transformative! Overall my experience on Maui was very positive, loving, and eye opening for me

The Center was a great place to reconnect with nature and calm the nervous system with gardening work, beautiful views and access to a full spa when available. I'd recommend this work trade for someone who can endure tedious tasks and hard work relating to maintaining gardens. Location wise, I'd definitely recommend renting a car or hitchhiking as the closet store is about a 20+ minute drive. Although, Heather and Donny may offer you rides into town 😊 Every meal provided was healthy and delicious. If you're an active communicator and hard worker, you shouldn't have a problem. Mahalo!

This was my second time Volunteering with Donny and Heather ✨ It was a very transformative expierence. I was entitled to all the sessions ( moon circle , yoga sound healing) and as I went through my own transformation I appreciated heathers great quality of holding space. I also appreciated the great communication skills both of my hosts - which gave me a safe space to have honest and vulnerable conversations . I felt seen and heard. At all times 💕 Great leadership ✨ I enjoyed the delicious meals & I am grateful to be seen and supported in being my true authentic self , thank you 💕

Transformation, family, welcoming land, garden, community that's how I describe my stay in the Center. The place itself located in the jungle so get a car or be ready to higehike to get the places. The nature here is beautiful nature. Be ready to work physically though. It's all going to pay back as you have an amazing healthy food.And the best part ever it's an opportunity to attend a retreat! These classes are truly great! They are powerful and transformative. if you are ready to work with love and appreciation and you'll be taken care by Heather and Donny and have forever friends.

The Center was a beautiful stay overall, the place vibrates magic and encourages you to dive deep within you. I truly hope you can live throughout a retreat, I think it's what makes the volunteer worthy (meals were amazing). Work could get very physically challenging but throughout my stay it started to decrease. Rules were sometimes not quite clear for me but Heather would always let me know if I was doing something wrong. You should def visit the nearest waterfall, it's one of the most breathtaking places✨ would love to share more details if you need it💜
