My experience at Safestay Passeig de Gracia was very good. They respect the hours agreed and are flexible to move the schedule if you need one more day free or something like that. Overall I really liked it!

I had an amazing time. Words can not describe how grateful I am to have made so many friendships and definitely I’ll keep in contact with them.
So communication! I can not stress enough how much it needs to improve at SafeStay. Volunteers are rarely informed of anything when it comes to the manager of reception nor does he take into consideration feedback that is given to him from us staff that guest have told.

That lack of communication from certain managers for me was the downfall and the way they speak to you at time, so that should be kept in mind.
Also the beds down have curtains.

The hostel was nice. The people who were volunteering in the hostel were very cool and friendly.
The only thing is that the people responsible to us were not responsible at all.
I think they are very disorganized with the tasks in regard to the hostel. Like they don’t care too much about the place.
In my case (volunteer housekeeping) I was doing in my shifts the triple of work than the real housekeepers who were working there.
Also they don’t explain anything about the job, facilities or places from the hostel.
But I had a great time with the other volunteers and the guests.
