The experience

Participants in this project volunteer with vulnerable grass-root communities focused on improving the quality of life through a wide variety of community development initiatives, including agriculture, adult education programs, income-generation activities, such as poultry and livestock rearing, HIV/AIDS education, construction projects, and more.


What you offer

5 hours of help per day

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

Handyman: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.


What you get

2 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Accommodation: Get discounts for your stay in other hostels.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

Between 18 and 60 years old

European Union Passport

Accepts solo applications and also couples and pairs

Program Details

Since there are so many processes involved in bringing clean water and sanitation to the communities, volunteers can choose among our three WASH project components including water construction and engineering, construction of Pit Latrines, and community healthy outreach.


Activities & Shift

You will work alongside skilled and unskilled local builders to help with the construction work. These projects will be contributing and supporting the capacity building of rural communities through intercultural learning experience. You do not need prior experience this projects. These are a very hand on, hands-dirty sort of program. Enthusiasm, a good sense of humor, and a helping spirit are required.

Volunteers with this project must be open minded, creative, and ready to fundraise for the project and adapt to the realities of everyday life in rural Ugandan communities.
